Jason and Kathy's travel adventure. Jason did all the work and let me come along. Broadcasting Business Information for 500 described the successes he is having communicating with the curricular colossus that is COB300. I did the background setting and then Brian E. took over. The presentation was well-received. Trips like this always help me because we never realize how good we have it at JMU until I hear other librarians say things like "wow, we're considering a liaison program" or "your faculty invite you to meetings?"
Sadly due to the timing of our session and the structure of VLA meeting format, we were only able to attend the opening session, do a quick round of the exhibit floor, and of course, our own session. The opening speaker was Emyl Jenkins, author of the Sterling Glass mystery series Ms. Jenkins (quoting her mother) told us that all good novels have three ingredients, class struggle/religion/sex. Thus, the following sentence "My god, said the Duchess to the plumber take your hand off my knee" beats twittering the classics.
